December 2016 Employee of the Month – Tammy

102_2349Congratulations Tammy for being December Employee of the Month. We appreciate all of your hard work!

Here are some comments from the nomination:

“Pt wife called in to make her regular $30.00 payment. She says on bill day she keeps us for last because we are ALWAYS happy that she is making a payment of any kind. She said that we are all friendly and she likes to call us. I let her know that a regular payment was better than no payment, so we are happy with that. She really appreciated that we let them make payments.”

“I had a gentlemen in front of me wanting to pay a previous bill and also the bill for today’s visit. I called down to make sure I knew the previous total and was given the wrong amount, but it was not until after I had ran the gentlemen’s card for a total of 610.00 that it was discovered I was given the wrong amt. The right amountt for the previous bill was 16.00 and then today’s visit was 106.00 so it should have been 122.00… The gentlemen was very understanding but what an awkward moment  because it’s not like it was a few dollars off, it was quite a bit. Tammy took over and got it figured out and I so appreciate it…..Tammy you rock.”

“I’d like to nominate all of my co-workers in the Billing Department.  I wish everyone could hear how many calls we receive on a daily basis addressing these issues and the professional/courteous manner they handle these calls.  The words kind, compassionate, helpful, and patient come to mind.  These amazing women do YUA proud and make them deserving of recognition. “

“She has taken it upon herself to try and make sure the Humana authorizations match what the doctor did, prior to the charges being keyed and services denied!! Way to go!”

“I’d like to nominate each member of the business office for employee of the month for the following reasons:

  1. Having to share 2X EMR tunnels makes scrubbing slow WAY down………………but each member has shared and coordinated their efforts to get their work done.

  2. They’ve all worked hard to schedule their summer PTO (or in our case surgeries) around each other as to not hinder other team members with too much coverage work.

  3. Each member has worked very hard to have a good attitude and be patient”

“I’d like to nominate Tammy for being completely awesome!  She goes above and beyond the call of duty any time I have a question or need help.  I appreciate her a TON!!!”

“She got an authorization from VA on a very difficult pt… way to go Tammy!”

“Tammy is so unique… love her “I am shy but not really personality”.  You get Tammy to loosen up a little and whoa look out you will find things out about her that will shock you! 🙂 Love how she is so helpful when I call down with a question. She never makes it seem like she doesn’t have time to help me, even though I know she is super busy!  Love that girl to death, she always makes it a point to walk through front office every morning and it makes my day!  Keep up the great team work Tammy!”
