Pelvic Floor Fitness Clinic Testimonials

I am a physically active man running a farming operation of vineyards and orchards in the lower Yakima Valley. There isn't much time spent sitting idle and I depend on my physical health to carry me through the day.

In 1990 Dr. Jack Lovern saved me from prostate cancer and I gradually got back to the business of life. Then I encountered an embarrassing and inhibiting problem in the development of urinary incontinence (spotting), a full seventeen years post-op. It did not find welcome in my active life and so I sought help.

I found that help from, you, Beverly, and your staff at the Pelvic Floor Fitness Clinic. In no more than three sessions I found my incontinence diminishing and am currently in what I would call a return-to-control status. It has taken a problem of monumental significance out of my daily concern.

You PFF Clinic is my ticket back to activity and up out of that dependent sense of being a victim. Once a month I sit down for thirty minutes and visit with very interested and interesting nurses and go on my way. Thank you, Bev and all the staff at PFF.

For several years I have been a patient at the Yakima Urology's Pelvic Floor Fitness Program. I was not a surgical candidate for my incontinency problems. I also was unable to tolerate the many medications that were prescribed for me. I now am having good results with more control of my urinary and bowel leakage. The nurses are pleasant and very efficient. I appreciate the help they have given us.

Hallelujah, Dry at last! But, it didn't happen without many trials and tribulations. For the past dozen years, I have struggled with urinary leakage. A visit to my Urologist and Gynecologist (after doing pelvic floor muscle exercises, and pelvic muscle stimulation for several years) convinced that a hysterectomy and the insertion of a sling to support the urethra could solve my problem.

Unfortunately, after that extensive surgical procedure, I did not experience improvement. Instead, I had even more leakage. Returning to the Urology Clinic, I tried bladder control remedies for another three years. These included nerve stimulation treatments, various bladder medications, and pelvic floor exercises without significant success.

Than I was told about the Macroplastique implant option, which is an injectable soft-tissue urethral bulking agent which can prevent urine from leaking for a long term. This rather non-invasive procedure did the trick! I have not experienced any leakage for several months and look forward to continued success.

Thank you Bev Davison and Dr. Lovern for your continued support throughout this journey.
